L’A.D.R. , acronimo di ACCORD DANGEREUSES ROUTE, è l’accordo europeo relativo ai trasporti internazionali di merci pericolose su strada, firmato a Ginevra il 30 settembre 1957 e ratificato in Italia con legge 12 agosto 1962 n. 1839 e divenuto obbligatorio in Italia dal 1 Gennaio 1997.
La normativa ADR, si rinnova negli anni dispari con cadenza biennale.
The IMDG Code (International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code) by IMO (International Maritime Organisation), is the reference regulation for the maritime transport of dangerous goods and was introduced in Italy with Presidential Decree no. 134/2005, as amended.
Please note that the IMDG, is a highly restrictive regulation with respect to the ADR regulation and requires a particular specialisation for intermodal transport that involves sea transport. The rules are related to:
The rules concern:
- classification of dangerous substances with reference to road and sea transportation;
- standards and tests that determine the classification as dangerous of individual substances;
- conditions of goods packaging, the packaging and container characteristics;
- construction methods of the vehicles and tanks;
- requirements for the means of transport and for the transport, including transportation documents;
- exemptions from compliance with the provisions of the Agreement.
